Insert the dedicated cooling pack (Summer: LD2, LD3, or LD4) or warming pack (Winter: DD2) into the Reidanobi B1.
If the pouch feels sticky during summer reuse, wash and dry the pouch before inserting fresh ice packs.
Freeze in the freezer for several hours before use. After use, return to the freezer to refreeze and reuse.
Cut along the perforations with scissors, soak in water for a few minutes, then freeze in the freezer for several hours before use. After use, refreeze and reuse.
LD3 is recommended for those who find swapping ice packs cumbersome.
If the water inside LD3 drains and the pack becomes thin, simply re-soak it in water to restore its original thickness.
For those with extra freezer space, there’s no need to cut LD3 packs individually
The smallest size — ideal for those who want a snugger fit, or for those who find larger packs too cold.
If you find it inconvenient to remove ice packs from the pouch before refreezing in summer, you can place the entire pouch — with ice packs still inside — directly into the freezer. Placing the pouch in a zip-lock bag beforehand will help prevent frost from forming on the outer surface.
Summer use: When inserting the ice pack, an unpleasant feeling can result if the surface of the Reidantai becomes damp or sticky, or if frost builds up heavily on the surface of the ice pack. For the most comfortable experience, please keep the surface of the Reidantai as dry as possible during use. For example, placing the ice pack in a zip-lock bag before putting it in the freezer will help prevent excess frost from forming.

Adjust the number of ice packs inserted into the Reidanobi B1 to suit your personal preference.

When inserting ice packs, push them in from the center toward the ends for easier loading.
If the zipper is stiff, pressing the fabric near the opening will make it easier to close.
For maximum comfort in intense heat, use a dry pouch rather than a damp one.
The band can be worn with the packs positioned at the front or back of the neck — whichever you prefer.
During extreme heat or cold, wear the Reidanobi under your clothing. If it feels uncomfortably hot or cold, move it to the outside of your clothing instead.
For a more intense cooling effect, tighten the adjustment cord for a snugger fit against the neck.
On hot, muggy nights, wearing the Reidanobi can help you sleep soundly — without the sluggishness often associated with air conditioning — and wake up feeling refreshed.
Using it not only at the neck but also under the arms and at the inner thighs provides even more effective full-body cooling in summer and warming in winter.
In winter, replace the summer ice packs with warming packs DD1 or DD2. Tear open the outer wrapper before use.
DD1: Fold in half before inserting.
DD2: There is a paper backing on one side — do not peel it off before use.
For extended outdoor use in summer, bring spare ice packs or a pre-loaded Reidanobi pouch in an optional storage tube T1/T2 (sold separately) or another insulated thermos container.
→ While other containers can be used, poorly insulated containers (such as basic plastic boxes) may cause the ice packs to melt in transit, reducing their effective cooling time once you’re ready to use them.
